All Surgery staff are trained to deal with all information with total
confidentiality. This extends to being unable to pass on even the most
apparently trivial information to friends and relatives, such as whether or
not the patient is attending an appointment or has already left the Surgery.
If you wish information about yourself to be given to a third party, please
give your doctor written authority. Sometimes, as the relative or close friend
of a patient, you may be concerned about that patient. If you feel there may
be something of which the doctor is unaware, please do feel able to pass this
information on to the doctor.
